15 May 2020: 'Serenade' - a song recital by Simon Harper (tenor) and Eleanor Perks (piano).  7:30 pm, Shirehall, Hereford.

Simon Harper (tenor) and Eleanor Perks (piano) give a song recital in aid of the Friends of Hereford Chamber Choir.  The theme, exploring nature through song, will include music by Finzi, Britten, Butterworth, Faure and Schubert. The concert takes place at 7.30 pm on Friday 15 May at Hereford Shirehall, HR1 2JB.


Tickets £14 in advance (£15 on the door), free for Friends of Hereford Chamber Choir, £13 Members of Hereford Chamber Choir, £5 for students.

Coronavirus update.  Should 'social distancing' restrictions remain in place then this recital will be postponed until a later date.  Should this happen then any tickets purchased will be valid for the rearranged date.

Owing to the latest government guidance regarding coronavirus, we are sorry to announce that our concert in Hereford Cathedral on Friday 12 June has been postponed. We are working with the Friends of Hereford Cathedral to find an alternative date later in 2020.  We apologise for any disappointment.

4 July 2020: Summer Concert: 'Inspirational Voices'

4pm, Westonbury Mill Water Gardens

Join Hereford Chamber Choir and guest speakers for an enchanting evening of musical entertainment and inspirational talks at Westonbury Mill Water Gardens on Saturday 4 July from 4 pm (gardens open from 11 am).


The concert, given by the choir, will include a musical stroll around the gardens, with talks from guest speakers including hydro-geologist creator of the garden Richard Pim, and Jonty Williams, a qualified level three Road and Time Trial Coach, experienced racing cyclist and personal trainer.


Tickets £25 (£22 for Friends of Hereford Chamber Choir) and include:

  • Entrance to the famous water gardens and exuberant follies (listed in The Times as being among twenty of ‘Britain’s most beautiful gardens’)

  • Concert given by Hereford Chamber Choir

  • Talks from Richard Pim and Jonty Williams

  • Traditional cream tea on arrival.


Whilst we are planning for this concert to go ahead, the ongoing coronavirus situation may lead to this event being postponed.  Like all other choirs we cannot predict what the circumstances will be in July, but we will follow government advice closely.  Should it become clear that this concert can  go ahead then tickets will be available here.

Saturday 7 November 2020: The Flight of Song St Francis Xavier Church, Broad Street, Hereford

Hereford Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, presents a delightful programme of choral works from the renaissance to the present day, including pieces by Palestrina, Monteverdi, Tomkins, Finzi and Rose.  Further details soon.  


Saturday 6 February 2021: Choral Workshop at Holy Trinity, 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Join Hereford Chamber Choir and Musical Director Simon Harper for a morning of singing.  This event will be open to all.  Further details details.


Weekend 20/21 February 2021: Services at Hereford Cathedral

Hereford Chamber choir will be singing the services at Hereford Cathedral across the weekend.


Saturday 8 May 2021: Spring concert at Bishop's Palace, Hereford Cathedral

Hereford Chamber choir will be giving a concert at the Bishop’s Palace as part of Hereford's celebrations to mark the 900th anniversary of the May Fair.
